As someone who typically does not go for instrumental albums, I found this one very impressive! Each track is very exciting and engaging and some even left me on the edge of my plane seat as I wrote this review. This instrumental full-length album is full of apocalyptic vibes, it’s industrial and progressive as heck, and it’s an easy listen for any metal head. I think any metalhead will find something that they enjoy about it whether they like djent, thrash, experimental, or death and doom. It’s meant to be digested as a whole and not track by track. Each song transitions beautifully into the other making it the perfect unit. It takes you on an intense journey through a dark, horror-themed apocalyptic world. Do yourself a favor and give this one a listen. It will not disappoint! Put your ear buds in, kick your feet up, and enjoy the the journey it takes you on.
Industrial Magic- Awesome intro! Very industrial like the title. Love that it’s driven by the double bass drum pedal. Atmosphere brings cool psychedelic elements. 5/5
Monolith- A good continuation of the first track. A lot more rhythmic than the first track. Again, the drums are really awesome here! Guitars build great anticipation that keeps listener on the edge of their seat. 5/5
King XXX- Very dark, almost gothic atmosphere. The rhythms are very complex and keep interest. Love the ambience it has and the guitar solo at the 3:28 mark. 5/5
Apocalyptic March- Very thrashy start with percussive sounds that appear almost Slipknot-esque. Ambient tracks do great at creating the apocalyptic feel. Guitars bring a nice melody that makes the song feel very balanced. 5/5
Downfall- Really strong guitar intro! Love that the guitars hit the higher notes and create variation. The riffs are very colorful. The mix is a little watered down in some areas, making the drums and atmosphere tracks compete, but not enough to take away from the enjoyment of the track. Amazing anticipation build up at the 4:00 mark. 4/5
Filth- Love the horror atmosphere. The drums add to the suspense and are the clear driver of the song. Makes the listener feel like they are trying to escape an abandoned house full of horrors and demons! Love that the industrial vibe is brought back as well. 5/5
Gothic- Love the overdriven guitar intro and the sound of the string bends. This track also sounds very industrial with its catchy percussive rhythms. Killer breakdown at the 2:50 mark and I really dig the guitar effects during the second half of the song! 5/5
Flamenco Fuoco- This track is so exotic, I love it! The use of the tambourine and the dark, Latino-inspired riffs make this song so unique and creative. Transitions very nicely into a heavy second half. Outro is very gothic and industrial and wraps the album up perfectly! 5/5
